Dear Parents:
Happy Friday Afternoon! We have had a wonderful week of friendship and learning and here are a few of the highlights:
Reading Folders: The book this week is called "Rice is Nice". We have worked so hard this week to see and hear the long sounds in words and this book was the perfect way to practice!
Handwriting: Jj
Reading: We learned about the soft 'c' and soft 'g' this week. When one of those letters is followed by an 'e' it makes its soft sound.
Math: This week and next week we will be working with measurable attributes. (ie length, width, weight, capacity)
Writing: We went back to TRUE STORIES this week and will continue them until the end of the year.
Odds and Ends: Now that the dismissal time for the last day has been announced I wanted to let you know that graduation will take place promptly at 10:00 in the gym. Since we are using the gym you are welcome to invite grandparents, aunts/uncles etc. Plan for about 30-35 minutes. We'll say our 'goodbyes' and then you can take your child with you (unless you want them to ride the bus or you have another plan). At 10:45 we have the 5th grade "Clap Out". If you are still in the building you should definitely check it out!
We got to see the 4th and 5th grade presentation of "The Lion King" musical yesterday. Oh how we loved it!
We will see the 4th grade pioneer projects today too. :)
We have a Facebook page: Mrs. Leiting's Kindergarten Tribe
WE LOVE RECYCLABLES in kindergarten! Thank you to everyone who keeps sending them in!
Here are a few dates to remember:
